Since Halloween is approaching and we are having a SCARY COMFORTER SALE I thought we’d have a little fun and come up with some scary uses for a comforter.

Become a Ghost

No one is suggesting tearing up your Mulberry Silk Comforter or even cutting holes in it to make a Halloween Costume, but some creative draping and safety pins can turn you into a presentable ghost. Once the party is over and you are home, the ghost can wear nothing but the comforter, and see how long until the ghost buster solves that problem.

Bride of Frankenstein

If being a ghost isn’t your thing; how about being the Bride of Frankenstein? Your Mulberry Silk Comforter can be the train on your dress. Start with an oversized t-shirt, add make-up and a wig or interesting hairdo. Pick your shoes of choice and pin your Mulberry Silk Comforter to your shirt to make your bridal train.

Hang a Ghost

Your Mulberry Silk Comforter can easily become a ghost decoration for your Halloween Party. Place a large ball in the center of the comforter, gather the comforter around it and use a string or scarf or similar item to tie the ball into the comforter. Tape or pin on eyes and/or a mouth and something to hang it. You can even pin some “sleeves” and add stuffed gloves you want a “handy” ghost.

Stuff a Monster

At one time newspaper was the stuffing of choice for the zombie in the corner but as people have switched to online news they have had to find other ways to shape up the zombie. Your Mulberry Silk Comforter has enough body and heft to fill the average party monster but is light enough not to overstuff him.

Ghost Stories in a Tent

If your kids think they want to go camping, and you know you don’t want to go camping, offer a compromise. The kids can camp in the living room in a tent made from your Mulberry Silk Comforter. Give them flashlights with weak batteries (don’t want them lasting too long) and teach them a ghost story or two. If that doesn’t work, tell them stories about the bugs that eat children who camp in tents outside.

Play a Game of Creepie Crawlie Critter

Once the kids are in bed and the guests and gone, take your Mulberry Silk Comforter back where it belongs. Put one partner on top of it, the other under it. The partner on top is the creepie crawlie critter and the partner on the bottom doesn’t know what’s going to happen next. Will the touch be naughty, or nice, or nicely naughty? Ok, you’ll get tired of having the comforter between you pretty quickly, but as a warm up…

Happy Halloween!
