Allergies

Introduction

This article explains why allergies affect people during the summer season, that is, from June to September. Each of the four different seasons brings different health hazards depending on the biological functioning of the body. Those suffering from allergies would say they have it the worst off.

Signs and Symptoms

One fact about allergies that come in summer is that they can cause unpleasant changes in appearance. These changes may include runny nose and red eyes that may ruin your warm weather look. The results of allergies that occur during this period may be so severe and unbearable to the victims. The symptoms include hallmark sneezing, watery eyes and runny nose. Some other cosmetic symptoms may also occur like black lines under your eyes and lines across the nose or some visible color may appear under the eyes as a result of accumulated blood vessels which cause discoloration.

Lymph

The allergies may also cause the lymph tissues to extend resulting in a fatigued look of the victim a condition known as Adenoidal Face. A problem considered to relieve nasal congestion and itching may also affect the casualty. Some casualties may also suffer breathing problems through the nose and may lead to the breathing through the mouth (American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, 2014).

Causes of Allergies

One may ask what really is the cause? The amount of pollen in the air at any time is the key factor. Weed pollen causes late summer and fall hay fever. People tend to contract these allergies due to disorderliness of the immune system that causes symptoms such as sneezing, itchy nose, runny nose and watery eyes.

Control and Prevention Measures

These summer allergies may be controlled and prevented by staying indoors during dry, windy days; delegating lawn mowing that exposes the weed pollen to the air, rinsing pollen from your skin and hair after a day’s duty and by not hanging laundry outside.

Conclusion

Allergies that occur during summer are result from pollen filled dry air during this season and they cause a bad appearance on the face of the victims as well as a fatigued look due to infected lymph tissue. The good thing is that the problem can be solved by staying indoors when the weather is not friendly.
